Traffic Incident Management

TIM Teams
TIM Teams are active in all FDOT Districts. The teams review past response actions and explore ways that incident management can be improved. These teams also conduct training for incident responders and are active in traffic management planning for special events.

Road Rangers
The service patrol concept, known today as the Road Rangers, is a free service of the Florida Department of Transportation and its partners and was initially used for the management of vehicle incidents in construction zones.

Rapid Incident Scene Clearance
Rapid Incident Scene Clearance (RISC) is a highly innovative program that supports Florida’s Open Roads Policy goal of safely clearing major highway incidents and truck crashes in 90 minutes or less.
